2022-2023 Request for Pre-K Seats

For the 2022-2023 school session, The Ready Start Tangipahoa Early Childhood Community Network is requesting 650 LA4 seats, an increase of 50 seats from 2020-2021 school session. This is an average of the number of seats filled according to monthly attendance records and includes an average of the number of all eligible students meeting the attendance requirement for each month.  Diverse delivery classes at The Early Learning Center of Ponchatoula (20 seats), Just Kiddin Around in Ponchatoula (20 seats), and Explore and Learn Early Learning Center in Hammond (20 seats) will continue being funded by LA4.  One new LA4 class is being requested by Kids’ World in Hammond (20 seats).

The network is asking for 135 Birth-3 year old seats to be placed in the following child care centers: A'Mazing Kidz and Little Grace Childcare and Learning Center (Independence), ABC Academy, Bright Horizons at North Oaks, Building Blocks Early Learning Center, Explore and Learn Early Learning Center, Happy Feet Learning Center, Laci ABC 1 & 2, Living Way Instruction Zone Child Care, Little Dreamers, Punkin Patch Academy, and The Gingerbread House of Learning (Hammond), Learn N Grow Learning Center, and Little Angels (Ponchatoula), as well as Kids Haven Childcare (Robert).  These seats would allow the network to serve more infants, toddlers, and three year old children in these areas.  Parents will apply for seats in the same manner as they apply for LA4 seats.
